TWLCBO conducts  sensitization forums in Kinyoro Ward, Saboti (March 19, 2025) and Suwerwa Ward, Cherengany (March 21, 2025) to familiarize communities with the county gender policy, its importance, and its role in addressing disparities in resource distribution and opportunities.Community feedback highlighted gaps in awareness, with a woman from Geta stating, “We didn’t know there was a policy,” and a man from Kinyoro acknowledging, “Now we understand this policy is not just about women but a framework to address disparities.”
We also engaged local chiefs, equipping them with skills to handle human rights violations, facilitate referrals, and conduct ADR without obstructing access to justice.
